Photo rename utility. Manage your digital image files using informative filenames:
Most digital cameras produce image files named something like DSC_3179.jpg. For most practical purposes, such filenames are meaningless and completely useless.
PhotoRename can rename all your image files (and other files, too) to something more meaningful. You can automatically extract and format EXIF date and time (found in practically all files produced by modern digital cameras), image pixel size, etc.
Using PhotoRename you can easily rename thousands of files from DSC_xxx.jpg to something human-readable like:
"Trip to Venice June_21_2002 @ 10-58-11.jpg"
or
"2002_May_17 time_11-17 (1600x1200 pixels).jpg"

PhotoRename 1.0 was released by Jarle Aasland on Monday 16 December 2002.
PhotoRename will run on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP.
